Our head coach for Singapore Sharks Football Club is Scott Murphy. Having grown up in country Victoria, Scott has played, coached and captained across numerous clubs and leagues in Melbourne including Amatuers, the Southern Football League, East Gippsland Football League and the Western Region Football Leagues. In his most recent role, he was Senior Captain and Assistant Coach of the Melbourne-based Dandenong Redlegs. Scott brings a vast range of experience to the Singapore Sharks as he has been coaching and actively involved in football for many years. He has coached school teams and orchestrated numerous lightning premierships for school aged children across Melbourne.
Scott is an energetic, enthusiastic and passionate person. He enjoys spending time with his young family and getting out into the outdoors as much as possible.
Scott is also a well-respected teacher at the AIS, where he is Head of Year Two – Administration and Welfare. We look forward to him continuing to develop the Auskick program and Lighting Rounds during the seasons.
James (Stevo) Stephenson
Assistant Coach of the Singapore Sharks Football Club is James (Stevo) Stephenson. James grew up in the Geelong and Surf Coast regions and played in the Geelong & District Football League and the Bellarine Football League. In his most recent role, James has moved from playing to umpiring and has umpired the last two Geelong Football League grand finals. He brings 15 years of football experience to the Singapore Sharks and has been involved in leadership groups and mentoring along the way.
James is an active, enthusiastic and easy-going person. He enjoys surfing, running and socialising with his wife and friends. James is also a teacher assistant at AIS, where he works in Year One while studying to become a teacher.
